Biography:

Arran is a professor of Ecological Linguistics at the University of Gloucestershire. He is founder and convenor of the International Ecolinguistics Association (http://ecolinguistics-association.org), which has more than 650 members. He is author of Ecolinguistics: language, ecology and the stories we live by (Routledge) and Animals Erased: discourse, ecology and reconnection the natural world (Wesleyan). He created the free online course The Stories We Live By (http://storiesweliveby.org.uk) which has more than 1200 participants, and has been awarded a National Teaching Fellowship for excellence in teaching.
